Zachary’s Cake Smash Photoshoot

Happy 1st Birthday Zachary!

We had such a fun photoshoot with Zachary, his parents and older brother. Prior to the shoot, his mom and I discussed what colours they would like for his cake smash photoshoot. They chose blues, silver and white.

This is such a fantastic colour combination for a baby shoot. We used biodegradable balloons in different varieties of blues and whites, foil balloons.

We brought in silver with thefringe garlands and fun-loving silver stars.

Zachary absolutely loved his shoot and being the star of the show. This gorgeous boy was a dream to photograph. Very chilled and and a happy boy. He really enjoyed the balloons. We captured family images, the two brothers together and many timeless portraits of Zachary.

Then came the cake smash. Most of the time, children at this age have not had to much to do with cake. Zachary was slightly bewildered about the cake until he tasted his perfectly created Cake Smash Cake by Mimis Bake House. He loved it!

The fun was not over now it was time for Clean up!  Our famous baby bath came out and now it was time for a lovely bubble bath to clean the sticky cake away. Zachary played with some of his own duplo lego with our resident studio ducks and had a blast. The balloons even landed up in the bath which is common practice in our cake smash photoshoots.

All in all a successful shoot and a memorable time together celebrating their baby’s 1st birthday milestone.
